Ratsch, Marlon (17 JUL 1941 – 30 JUL 1972)

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Zion Lutheran Church at Granton for Marlon C. Ratsch, 31, route 1, Granton (Clark Co., Wis.), who was killed instantly in a car-motorcycle accident six miles south of Neillsville (Clark Co.) on Highway 95. The Rev. Roland Roehrs will officiate and burial will take place in the church cemetery.

Georgas Funeral Home in Neillsville has charge of the arrangements.

Marlon C. Ratsch was killed instantly when the motorcycle he was driving, collided with a car driven bfy George Holub, 61, Greenwood (Clark Co.).

Officials said the Holub car went out of control on a curve and skidded broadside into the path of the motorcycle driven by Ratsch. He died of head and chest injuries, and was pronounced dead on arrival at Memorial Hospital here shortly after 3 p.m. Sunday.

Marlon C. Ratsch was born July 17, 1941, in Clark County, and received his education in rural schools, and at the Loyal High School. He had previously done farm work for Walter Trimberger at Granton, and since 1958, was employed by the Rollohome Corp. at Marshfield.

He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church at Granton.

His marriage to the former Lola Saibold took place on November 18, 1961, at Christie, and she survives him.

Other survivors include three children, David, Debra, and Randy; three sisters, Mrs. Al (Betty) Coal, Oconto Falls; Mrs. Roger (Beverly) Lau, Marshfield; and Mrs. Dale (Gloria) Reidel, Granton; three brothers, Emory, Davis, Illinois; Gerald, Granton; and Ronald, Marshfield; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Ratsch, route 1, Greenwood.
