Potter, Linda (17 AUG 1968)

A lovely wedding on Saturday, August 17, 1968 united Miss Linda Potter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Potter, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), and Ronald C. Blair of Minneapolis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Blair of Winnebago, Minnesota. The Rev. Lowell Anderson performed the two o'clock ceremony at the Alliance Church, Owen.

Mrs. Douglas Henderson of Minneapolis played the wedding march, and Mrs. David Curnen of Minneapolis sang, "Each For the Other" and "The Wedding Prayer." Alter flowers were white gladiolas and mums of yellow, pink and blue to match the bridesmaids gowns.

The bride was attired in a bridal gown of white lace over organza, fashioned with a square neckline and long pointed sleeves. Her chapel length train of lace was attached to the shoulders. She wore a shoulder length veil attached to seed pearls and white roses headpiece. Her bridal bouquet was of red roses and white pon pons with streamers.

Attending the bride were her sisters, Mrs. Leonard Anderson of Minneapolis as matron of honor, and bridesmaids were Eunice Finnila, Withee, and Vonnie Johnson of Minneapolis.

Their gowns were identical in styled, but each in a different color, blue, yellow and pink. They wore floor length gowns of taffeta with full skirt and a cummerbund with a bow in front. Their headpieces were of daisies and they carried daisies with steamers to match their gowns.

The groom and attendants were attired in white tuxedos and black trousers. Attending the groom as best man was Paul Blaire, brother of the groom, of Winnebago, and Lyle Blaire and Marlin Blair.

A reception was held in the church dining room of the Alliance Church for 75 guests. The room was decorated with white paper wedding bells and streamers, and the tables featured a centerpiece of white gladioli and white candles. Miss Carolyn Blair attended the guests book. Mrs. John Hudson of Rosemount, Minnesota poured the coffee and Loretta Zutler of Minneapolis served the punch.

Following a wedding trip to the Wisconsin Dells the newlyweds will make their home at 2016 Fremont Avenue North, Minneapolis, Minn.

The bride is a 1967 graduate of Owen-Withee High School and attended North Central Bible College in Minneapolis. She is employed as switchboard operator at a credit bureau in Minneapolis.

The groom is a 1965 graduate of Huntley High School in Huntley, Minnesota, and is presently attending North Central Bible School in Minneapolis. He also is employed by Farm Products Company of Minneapolis.
