Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Smasal of route 1, Stanley, wish to announce the marriage of their daughter, Cynthia Lou Smasal, to SP/4 Dennis P. Christophersen, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. "Pete" Christophersen, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.).

They were married October 11, 1968 at a 7:00 p.m. ceremony at the Army Chapel in Bamberg, Germany, by Father Brinkman.

The bride was escorted down the aisle by Sgt. Harry Lego, a friend of the groom. She chose a short white sheath with Venetian lace overcoast. A shoulder length veil was held in place with satin rose buds. Her flowers were red and yellow roses.

Her matron of honor chose a dark wool suit with a white mink collar, and carried pink carnations.

A reception was held in a small Guest House in Strulendorf, Germany. The newlyweds planned a honeymoon trip into the Alps of Switzerland. They will reside in Germany for a year, and then will return to the States.
