Topinka, Arthur S. (13 JUL 1936 - 2 JAN 2016)

Arthur S. Topinka, 89 of Marshfield. died peacefully on Saturday. January 2. 2016 at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

Funeral services will be 11 am Tuesday. January 5. 2016 at Rembs Funeral Home in Marshfield.

Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery. Marshfield with his grandsons as pallbearers/ Bradley, Justin and Brett Topinka, Ben Papendorf. Dust in Ashbeck and Shannon Carlson.

Visitation will be from 9am Tuesday until time of services at the Rembs Funeral Home.

Art was born on July 13, 1926 in Neillsville to" Joseph and Bessie (Starha) Topinka. He was united in marriage to Edna L. Krisher on May 21, 1949 in Med ford. They lived in Medford until moving to Marshfield in 1958. During his lifetime, he worked at various places but spent most of his working years at L Shapiro & Son.

He is survived by his wife Edna at Bethel, children Henry (Darhl) Topinka of Verona, Marlene (JR) Papendorf of New London, Arlene (Joseph) Urcikan of Wittenberg. Raymond (Joyce) Topinka of Appleton, Shirley (Duane) Ashbeck of Auburndale, Jerry (Lorna) Topinka of Menasha, Gary (Karen) Topinka of Appleton and Sharon (Larry) Carlson of Wisconsin Rapids; 17 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. He is further survived by his brother Victor Topinka of Colby.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, James, Joseph Jr., George; four sisters Bessie Gossman, Anne Topinka, Lillian Legia and Elinor Norton.

His love for God was first in life and he loved his family. They were his sunshine.
