Mrs. Edna Johnson Meyer, 85, died Sunday evening, November 5, 1978 at Victory Memorial Hospital, Stanley.

The former Edna Gericke was born at Oakfield and married Jens P. Johnson September 25, 1910. They lived and farmed in the Stanley area. He died in 1949, and she married Albert Meyer April 20, 1952 at Stanley, Wis.

Survivors include five sons, Robert Johnson, Salem, Missouri, Arnold Johnson, Greenwood, Elmer Johnson, Wheeling, Illinois, Donald Johnson, Fontana, Everett Johnson, Thorp; three daughters, Mrs. Harold Baumgarten, Stanley, Mrs. James Arneson, Dorchester, Mrs. Roland Truchinski, Loyal; a brother, David, Stanley; 44 grandchildren, 100 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Services were held Thursday afternoon, November 9 at United Methodist Church, Stanley, with burial in East Side Cemetery, Stanley.
