Aden, Lynette Lea (Marriage – 10 August 1974)

Miss Lynnette Lea Aden became the bride of Richard W. Sheffer in a 10 a.m. ceremony performed Saturday, August 10, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Neillsville, by the Rev. Joseph Henseler. Later, the couple greeted guests at a reception in the parish hall.

The bride, presented in marriage by her father, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald R. Aden, Rt. 3 Neillsville. Mr. and Mrs. Walter D. Sheffer, Rt. 1 Humbird, are the groom’s parents.

A nosegay of pink rosebuds and Baby’s breath centered with a lavender orchid and bedecked with white ribbon showers and trailing ivy complimented the gown of sheer organza with Schiffli embroidery trim, chosen by the former Miss Aden. The empire, A-line silhouette featured a scoop neckline, long, bishop sleeves and an attached chapel train. Her matching Camelot veil of nylon illusion was trimmed with lace.

Mrs. Kay Marshall was matron-of-honor, and bridesmaids were Mrs. Loni Paquette of Stoughton, sister of the bride, and Miss Darlene Larson of Augusta. They appeared in lavender knit halter dresses with multi-colored bolero jackets and lavender picture hats with matching trim. Their nosegays of lavender daisies and pompons.

Attending the groom were his brother, Kenneth Scheffer, Humbird, as bestman, and Joseph Kaufman, Humbird, and Tony Matalas, Merrillan, as groomsmen. Ushering duties were shared by Richard Paquette, Stoughton, and Kent Marshall.

Brothers of the bride, Donald and Mark Aden, served as altar boys. Kevin and Billy Aden, also her brothers, were the gift bearers. Gary Ross was the commentator.

Special music included the selections: “We’ve Only Just Begun” and “You Alone,” sung by Miss Sara Eisberner. Mrs. D’Ann Kaufman was the organist. The nuptial mass was sung by Mrs. Greta Ross.

A 1973 graduate of Neillsville High School, the new Mrs. Sheffer has been employed by a Neillsville manufacturing corporation. Her husband graduated from Alma Center-Lincoln High School in 1971, and is employed by a Neillsville firm.

They will live on Rt. 1 Humbird, following their return from a wedding trip to Corpus Christi, Tx.
