Hipple, Carol A. (Hansen) (31 DEC 1931 - 19 SEP 2017)

Carol A. Hipple, 85, Phillips died on Tuesday, September 19, 2017, at the Marshfield Medical Center, Marshfield.

She was born on December 31, 1931, in Elgin, Ill., the daughter of Harold and Mabel (Hintt) Hansen. She spent most of her life in the Elgin, Ill. area. She attended and graduated from Elgin High School, Class of 1950.

She was married to George Hipple on June 28, 1952, in Elgin. She was employed for a short period but she was most happy being a stay at home Mother raising her 3 children, with her husband George .She was active in her parish St. Paul United Church of Christ in Elgin and then became a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Phillips, when they made their home in Phillips, in 2009. Her husband George died on Feb. 24, 2013. They were married for over 60 years. In her free time she enjoyed bowling, fishing, baking, and sewing.

She is survived by her 3 children: Reggie (Mark) Distin, Phillips, Brian (Anne) Hipple, Lakeville, Minn., and Karen Thompson, Phillips, by 5 grandchildren: Derek (Laura), Kimberly, and Craig Distin, Dan (Hilary) Hipple and Mary Beth Hipple, by 3 great grandchildren:
Phoebe, Lydia, and Nicholas Distin., by 1 sister: Arlene Diekman, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her Mother Mabel, by her husband George On Feb. 24, 2013 and by 3 brothers.

A memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2017, at 1:00 P.M. at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church, Phillips, with Pastor Matthew Arneson of the First Presbyterian Church, Phillips, officiating.

Friends may call at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church on Saturday, October 14, 2017, from 12:00 Noon until the time of the service at 1:00 P.M.

The Heindl Funeral Home, Phillips, is in charge of the arrangements.
