Bible Baptist School (Launched - 1974)
Neillsville newest educational institution which was launched with 12 students
last January, will resume classes after Labor Day, the Rev. David Webster,
pastor of the Bible Baptist Church and head of the Bible Baptist School,
reported this week.
The Rev. Mr. Webster expects this year’s enrollment to reach 20, which will be
just four persons under the capacity of the school, he said. Mr. Webster and his
wife will take the brunt of the teaching load; but they are “training two
substitutes to carry on in the event anything happens to us.”
There will be changes made, too. Each student will be evaluated to determine his
educational level. The program, then, will continue on an individualized basis
and under a self-instructional program, in which the pupil progresses at his own
rate of speed.
“All studies will be conducted on a controlled reader’ basis to increase reading
skills; and we will use the latest electronic equipment, such as tapes and tape
recorders,” Mr. Webster said.
In the new program, each student will have his own “office,” where he will have
his own learning tools.
