Crummy, Nancy Bernadette (16 JUN 1970)

Miss Nancy Bernadette Crummy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Crummy, 1607 13th St., Viola, Illinois, exchanged vows with Edward John Michur, 3234 Heatherton Drive, Davenport, Iowa, who parents are Mr. and Mrs. Edward L. Michur, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.).

The Reverend J. Morrissey officiated at the 2 p.m. ceremony in St. John's Catholic Church in Viola, Saturday, June 16, 1970, with Mr. Crummy giving his daughter in marriage. Frank Mack of Rock Island, Illinois sang and Mrs. James Barnes of Viola played.

Pearls and crystals accented the peau d' ange lace bodice of the bride's floor length empire gown of organza over taffeta. Styled with high sculptured neckline and transparent lantern sleeves, the gown featured a full chapel train. Scalloped lace ordered the bride's mantilla of silk illusion. She carried white gladioli tipped with baby blue, white roses and lilies of the valley.

Mrs. Max L. Jones of Galesburg, Illinois was her sister's matron of honor, and bridesmaids were Miss Teresa Crummy, Viola, and Miss Marie Michur of Thorp, sister of the couple, and Miss Jeannie Mack, Wyoming, Illinois. They wore floor length gowns of blue chiffon over linen, with Venice lace at the empire waist lines. Their colonial bouquets were of blue and white daisies.

Jack Michur, north Chicago, was the best man for his cousin. Groomsmen were Michael Fraser, Davenport, Raymond Pechous, Princeton, Iowa, and Edward Beir, Chicago. Guests were seated by Michael Crummy, Viola, brother of the bride, and Roger Mathison, Farley, Iowa, friend of the groom.

The reception following the ceremony was held in the VFW Hall, Aledo, Illinois.

A rehearsal dinner was held at the home of the bride-elect's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Crummy, Viola.

Mrs. Michur graduated from Viola High School and attended Black Hawk College. She is employed in the Claim Department at the home office, Modern Woodmen of America, Rock Island, Illinois.

Mr. Michur, a graduate of Thorp High School, attended Austin State Junior College, Austin, Minnesota. He is an agent for American National Insurance Company, Davenport, Iowa.

Following a southern wedding trip, they will live in Davenport, Iowa.
