Pollick, Frank (? August 1889 – 20 August 1974)

A farmer in the Town of Dewhurst for many years Frank Pollick, 85, of Rt. 1 Merrillan, died August 20, in Neillsville. Funeral services were held Friday, August 23, 9:30 a.m. from Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Alma Center, with the Rev. J. Marx officiating. Interment was in the Alma Center Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements were made by the Georgas Funeral Home.

Mr. Pollick was born August 1889, in Poland and received his education there. He came to the United States at the age of 20 and lived in the eastern part of the country for a time, then moving to Wisconsin in 1920. His marriage to the former Victoria Mical took place in August 1924, at Alma Center.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include six children: Mrs. Mary Czarnik of Merrillan, Misses Helen Pollick and Frances Polick of Chicago, Mrs. Sophia Miller of Niles, Il., Stanley Pollick of Chicago, and John Pollick of College Park, Md; seven grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Joe Pasek, B. H. Bohac, Robert V. Miller, John Dickenson, Gust Neumann, and Hollis L. Beede.

Relatives from out of town who attended the services were: Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Polick and Victoria, Mrs. Helen Polick and Miss Frances Pollick, Chicago, Il.; John Polick, College Park, Md.; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Miller, Sr., Robert Miller, Jr., Christofer, Lisa, and Caron, Niles, Il.; Mrs. Mary Czarnik and family, Merrillan.

Many others from this area were also present.
