Kaltinger, Mary (23 January 1885 – 13 January 1974)

Mrs. John Kaltinger, Sr., 89, Greenwood, died at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Memorial Hospital in Neillsville, where she was admitted a week ago, after hospitalization at a Marshfield hospital, following a stroke.

Mrs. Kaltinger, the former Mary Cadaz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Cadaz, was born January 21, 1885 in Yugoslavia. She was married October 11, 1905 in Salt Lake City, Utah. John Kaltinger, died April 9, 1963. They celebrated their Golden wedding in 1955. In 1914, they came to Willard, and farmed there until 1950s, when they moved to the city of Greenwood, where she had resided ever since. She was a member of the S.N.P.T. Lodge of Willard.

She is survived by four sons: John of Greenwood; Rudolph of Lombard, Il.; Alfred of Elmhurst, Il.’ Alvin of Willard; five daughters, Mrs. Mike (Marie) Fleischaker of Chicago; Mrs. Adolph (Ella) Langner of Chicago; Mrs. Stanley (Josephine) Mikottos of Bensenville, Il.; Mrs. Joe (Louise) Morgal of Houston, Tx.; Mrs. Burt (Lillian) Sahlberg of Dundee, Il.; also 39 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; one brother and two sisters in Yugoslavia.

Funeral services were held Monday, September 16, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greenwood. The Rev. Leander Koopman officiated. Burial was mde in the Holy Family Cemetery in Willard.

Pallbearers all grandsons, were: Gilbert Fleischaker, James Fleischaker, Dennis Mikottos, Steve Sahlberg, Rudy Kaltinger, Jr., and Billy Langner.
