Schrader, Mark Frederick (9 NOV 1951 - 22 DEC 2017)

Mark Frederick Schrader died at home in La Crosse on Friday, Dec. 22, 2017, at the age of 66.

Mark was born on Nov. 9, 1951, in Northfield, Minn., to parents Kenneth and Jean (Radt) Schrader. After a happy childhood growing up on his family’s farm in Northfield, Mark met Ann Berg while they were studying at Macalester College in St. Paul, Minn., and they were married on July 26, 1975.

Mark and Ann made their home in Tony, where they raised their two sons.

He was self-employed as a sawyer, and Ann was a laboratory supervisor at the hospital. In later years Mark and Ann moved to La Crosse.

Mark and Ann were loving parents and grandparents, and are deeply missed.

Mark is survived by his mother, Jean Schrader of Richfield, Minn.; his uncle, Richard (Judy) Radt of Charlottesville, Va.; his sisters, Nancy Johnson (Keith) of Gig Harbor, Wash. and Susan Schrader of Edina, Minn.; his sons, Drew (Margie) of Bloomington, Ind. and Phil (Jill) of Richardson, Texas; and his grandchildren, Zadie Schrader of Bloomington, Ind. and Jaye and Cy Schrader of Richardson, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Schrader, of Northfield, Minn. and his wife, Ann Schrader, of La Crosse.

A private memorial service will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Rusk County Animal Shelter, 311 E Miner Ave E Suite C150 Ladysmith, WI 54848.
