Marjorie Eslinger, 98 formerly of Boyd, died on January 29, 2018 at Comforts of Home, Menomonie, Wisconsin.

She was born on September 14, 1919 on the family farm in Edson. She was the daughter of Timothy, Sr. and Elizabeth (Lorenz) Kenealy. Marjorie grew up on the family farm in the town of Edson and attended elementary school just down the road from their farm. She attended one year of High School at Chippewa Falls McDonnell while working as a domestic. She then attended and graduated from Boyd High.

Marjorie married Frank P. Eslinger on February 8, 1938 in Edson. The couple farmed for many years just north of Edson, outside of Boyd on County Trunk D.

Marjorie enjoyed playing cards with family and friends, bingo, reading, church activities, local civic celebrations, and most of all family visits. She was a strong woman with an independent spirit. She passed along many well-founded life lessons through how she acted and what she verbalized. She had an innate ability to see the positive side of things. She was kind to others.

She is survived by her son Roger (Sue) of Ithaca, NY and daughter-in-law, Caroline of Chippewa Falls. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kellie (Chris) Hummel of Ithaca, NY, Brad (Gayle) Eslinger of Boyd, Kathy (Jeff) Tavormina of Okemos, MI and Rod (Deanne) Eslinger of Chippewa Falls. Additionally, she is survived by 10 great grandchildren, and 4 great, great grandchildren.

Marjorie is preceded in death by her husband Frank (2006), her son Richard (2011), brothers Timothy Jr., Delton and Donald Kenealy and sisters Violetta Licht and Bernice Endvick.

Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date.
