The Mid-winter Commencement of Wisconsin State University, Eau Claire will take place on Saturday, January 17, 1970, at 9:45 a.m. in the University Arena. At that time 242 persons will receive their degrees. From the School of Graduate Studies, 5 will be awarded the Master of Science in teaching. Baccalaureate degrees award will be: from the School of Arts and Science, 44 Bachelor of Arts, 49 Bachelor of Science, 1 Bachelor of Fine Arts, and 1 Bachelor of Music; From the school of Business, 48 Bachelor of Business Administration; from the School of Education, 38 Bachelor of Arts, 52 Bachelor of Science, and 4 Bachelor of Music Education; and from the School of Nursing, 2 Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

The president of University, Dr. Leonard C. Haas, will give the Commencement address, and Dr. Richard E. Hibbard, vice-president for academic affairs, will preside. There will be a reception for graduates, their families, and friends in the W.R. Davies University Center following the Commencement.

Among the graduates will be Charles L. Wnukowski, son of former Withee (Clark Co., Wis.) residents, Mr. and Mrs. George W. Wnukowski, now of Sparta. Charles is a graduate of Owen-Withee High School and is being graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, with majors in Industrial Government and Accounting. While at school he was a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity and served as its treasurer. He has accepted a position with the Wisconsin Department of Revenue, Income Tax Division, and will be stationed in Madison.
