Rabska, Karen Barbara (28 FEB 1970)

A lovely candlelight wedding ceremony took place at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, February 28, 1970 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Withee, with Rev. Arthur Hellert officiating. Miss Karen Barbara Rabska, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Rabska became the bride of Michael Jeffery Kitz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Kitze of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.). As the bride and groom's parents were seated, Miss Paula Browne of River Falls sang to the accompaniment of a guitar, three songs, "Turn Turn", "Presence of the Lord", and "Get Together."

As the bride approached the altar with her father she was seen in a long empire waisted satin gown with a roll collar and long gathered sleeves with wide long cuffs. She wore a white wide brimmed straw hat trimmed with white chiffon and red roses. Wearing something old, the bride wore a pair of white old fashioned high topped shoes belonging to her mother. She carried two long stemmed red and one long stem white roses.

Miss Barbara Barager of Madison and Miss Molly Rabska, Withee, were the bride's attendants. Barbara wore a long navy blue crepe gown with a navy rope belt. Molly wore a long burgundy crepe gown with a matching rope belt. A scarf was worn as a headpiece. Each girl carried one long stem gold rose.

The groom asked Michael Gardner of Eau Claire to be his best man, and Phillip Kitze, Owen, was the groomsman. Each man wore a full dress tuxedo with tails and a gold tea rose boutonniere. Dennis Potocnik and Michael Rabska ushered the guests into the church.

Following the ceremony a dinner was held in the church parlor. A reception as held at the American Legion Hall in Owen.

The bride and groom are both graduates of Owen-Withee High School, and are students at the University at River Falls.

The newlyweds are making their home at 1000 Sycamore, Lot 39, in River Falls, Wisconsin.
