Pueschner, Gerald Ernest (13 SEP 1931 - 6 FEB 2018)

Gerald Ernest Pueschner, 86, Prentice, died in the Aspirus Medford Hospital in Medford on Tuesday, February 6, 2018. He was born in Medford, Wisconsin, on September 13, 1931, the son of Henry and Anna (Marti) Pueschner.

He served his country in the United States Army, stationed in Germany, for six years, serving as a CID Photographer. He was married to Rosemary Dejka in Wadsworth, Illinois, on August 23, 1958, at Our Lady of Humility Catholic Church.

Following his military service he was employed as a Union Cement Mason on highway construction projects until the time of his retirement. He was a member of Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church of Prentice, was a Life Member of the Southern Price County VFW Post No. 8491, and a member of the Disabled American Veterans. In his free time he enjoyed photography, making sausage and wine, riding his moped, gardening, and canning.

He is survived Rosemary, his wife of 60 years; by one son, James (Deborah), Rhinelander; by two daughters, Judy Barr, Eagle River, WI, and Jeanine (Eric) Wilund, Prentice; by one daughter-in-law, Christine, Princeton, TX; by 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; and by two sisters, Bonnie Lolmaughs, Waukegan, IL, and Mary Leech, Reno, NV.

He is preceded in death by one son, John; and by two brothers, Marvin and Loren.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, February 13, at Saint John Baptist Church in Prentice with Father Gerald Hagen celebrating the funeral mass. Military honors will be conducted by the Southern Price County VFW Post No. 8491. Interment will be in the Rib Lake Cemetery in Rib Lake. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services.
