Dvorak, William “Bill” J. (12 OCT 1924 - 4 OCT 2001)

William “Bill” J. Dvorak, 76, Edgar, died Thursday October 4, 2001 at his home.

He was born October 12, 1924, in Milan son of the late Joseph and Rose (Kosnar) Dvorak. On February 7, 1959, he married Violet Artus in Edgar and she survives.

Survivors besides his wife Violet 'Tiny' Dvorak, Edgar, include his sons Bob Dvorak, Dan (Colleen) Dvorak, Jon (Amy Karlen) Dvorak, all of Edgar; daughters Donna (Duane) Passehl, of Marathon, Diane Dvorak, of Edgar, Sue (Donnie) Boe of Germany; brothers Laddie Dvorak, of Edgar, Henry Dvorak and Joseph Laga, both of Chicago; a sister Angeline (John) Ralston; two grandchildren Amber and Josh Passehl both of Marathon; five step grandchildren, Mollie and Mitchell Baesman of Edgar, Shawn Boe, of Germany, Donnie, Jr., and Alicia Boe both of Rhinelander.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Bob, Rudy, and Ed Dvorak and Charles Laga.

Bill was the owner and operator of Dvorak Country Home Tavern in Edgar. He was also the founder of Dvorak Sanitation of Edgar. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, riding his 4-wheeler and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.

The funeral mass will be celebrated 3:00pm Sunday, October 7, 2001, at St. John Catholic Church, Edgar. The Reverend Bernard Raschke will officiate. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Edgar. Friends may call Sunday from 1:00pm until the time of services at the church.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials go to the Edgar Fire Department or Ministry Home Care Hospice, Marshfield.
