Gebert, Patricia “Pat” L. (Habermeyer) (28 DEC 1926 - 8 FEB 2018)

Patricia “Pat” L. Gebert, 91, of 960 S. Gibson, Medford, passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2018, at Aspirus Care & Rehab, Medford where she had resided for the past 2½ years most recently under the care of Hope Hospice.

The funeral mass will be at 11:00 AM Monday, February 12 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Medford, with Father David Nueschwander. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Town of Little Black. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren. Visitation will be at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Medford from 9:30 AM until the time of services at 11 AM on Monday, February 12.

Pat was born on December 28, 1926, in the Town of Little Black, to Edward and Louise (Fountain) Habermeyer. She attended Liberty Elementary School, Town of Little Black.

On May 24, 1950, at Abbotsford, Pat married Melvin J. Gebert. He survives. Prior to her marriage, she worked at the phone company in Chippewa Falls. After her marriage, she waitressed at Strama’s Restaurant in Medford for a period of time. For most of her life she was a housewife and mother. She enjoyed gardening, baking, canning and playing cards. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Medford.

Pat is survived by her husband, Melvin J. Gebert, Medford; children Bob Gebert of Medford, Denny (Mary) Gebert of Medford, Terry (Sue) Gebert of Medford, Marty (Kelly) Gebert of Stetsonville, Mary (Bryan) Bormann of Medford, Mike Gebert of Medford, Bill (Pam) Gebert of Medford; 13 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; siblings Marion (Bob) Paul of Abbotsford & Dorothy (Ev) Sonsalla of Baraboo; Brother-in-law: Wayne Bischel of Madison.

She is predeceased by her parents, Edward and Louise (Fountain) Habermeyer; daughter, – Donna Kay Gebert in 1983; Daughter-in-law: Pat Gebert in 2008; siblings Emery & Bill Habermeyer, and Ruth Bischel.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be given to the family for a future designation.
