Gasch, Carol Ann (12 SEP 1970)

St. Mary's Catholic Church, Colby, was the scene Saturday, September 12, 1970 of the wedding of Miss Carol Ann Gasch, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Gasch, route 1, Colby, and Gerald Lynn Boxrucker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Pete Boxrucker, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.).

Rev. Frank Rushman officiated at the 1 p.m. double ring ceremony and nuptial Mass. Sister Patricia was the organist and the children's choir sang.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a floor length linen gown of candlelight white, accented with matching lace trim. The trim accent was carried through on the train, which was attached to the empire waist. Her shoulder length veil was held by a teardrop lace crown. She carried a cascade bouquet of pink roses, white stephanotis and lily of the valley, accented with rose buds attached to satin streamers.

Miss Janice Gasch, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Miss Korliss Schoelzel, Wisconsin Rapids, friend of the bride, was bridesmaid, and Margie Gasch, another sister of the bride, was the junior bridesmaid.

Gracie Boxrucker, sister of the groom, was flower girl. They each wore an A-line floor length dress of olive green with mint green lace bodices. The floor length train was accented with the same lace trim and attached to the empire waist. Their headpieces were bouffant veils attached to a floral crown. They each carried a colonial bouquet of bronze, orange, yellow and white chrysanthemums and baby's breath, accented with olive green streamers. The flower girl carried a basket of chrysanthemums and baby's breath.

Best man was Dennis Hanson, Medford, cousin of the groom. Groomsmen were James Van Horn, Milwaukee and Pat Gaffney, Neillsville, friends of the groom. David Gasch, Colby, brother of the bride, and Mike Gilies, Medford, cousin of the groom, were ushers.

The reception, dinner and dance in the evening were at the Trianon Ballroom, Edgar.

The bride graduated in 1966 from the Colby High School and in 1967 from the Accredited School of Beauty Culture, Eau Claire. She is employed in "B's" House of Beauty, Chippewa Falls.
