Miller, Oscar Otto (1 June 1904 – 14 November 1974)

Oscar Otto Miller, 70, lifelong resident of Greenwood, died Thursday afternoon at a Marshfield hospital where he was admitted November 11.

Mr. Miller, son of William and Anna (Toburen) Miller was born May 1, 1904, in the Town of Warner, nine miles northwest of Greenwood.

He received his education in the Greenwood schools. He was married to Zula Sloniker, June 1, 1927, in Greenwood, and they have resided here ever since. Mr. Miller was mayor of Greenwood for several years. Surviving him are his wife, one son, Harold Miller, of Joliet, Il., one daughter, Major Elaine Miller at the Scott Air Force Base, Bellville, Il., three grandchildren, also, four sisters: Mrs. Tony (Selma) Karnitz of Neillsville; Mrs. Skylas (Alma) Carothers of Tucson, Az.; Mrs. Laura Richmond of Greenwood; and Mrs. Oscar (Ella) Franz of Land O’Lakes.

Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, November 18 at 2 p.m. at the Zion United Church. The Rev. David Logue will officiate. Burial was made in the Greenwood Cemetery. Visitations will begin at the Hill Funeral Home on Sunday afternoon and after 11 a.m. at the church on Monday.
