Mootz, Marlene M. (Morrison) Wolf (16 OCT 1944 - 9 APR 2018)

Marlene M. Mootz, 73, of Abbotsford, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Monday, April 9, 2018 at the Colonial Center in Colby.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford. Rev. Donald Bruce will officiate. Interment will follow at Abbotsford Public Cemetery. Family and friends are welcome from 11:00 a.m. until time of service Thursday at funeral home.

Marlene was born on October 16, 1944, the daughter of Lester and Pearl (Kenyon) Morrison in Marshfield. She was united in marriage to Ralph Wolf in 1962. They later divorced. On September 3, 1983, Marlene was united in marriage to Bennie Mootz at Zion Lutheran Church in Colby.

Marlene worked at Continental Manor in Abbotsford, St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield and farmed for Christensen & Sons. She enjoyed fishing, baking with the grandchildren and playing cards. Most importantly, Marlene cherished her family.

Marlene is survived by her husband of 37 years, Bennie; her daughter, Pamela (John) Davis of Abbotsford; four step-children: Todd (Deann) Mootz of MN, Terry (Sandy) Mootz of Stratford, Lisa (Gary) Simonson of MN and Lynn (Julie) Schueler of Menasha; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She is further survived by two sisters and two brothers: Kathy Kotas, Ray (Donna) Morrison, Jimmie (Karlyn) Morrison and Linda Elmhorst; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Lois (Stanley) Voelker and a brother-in-law, Wayne Kotas.
