Marshfield - Jeannie Marie Pavlik, 67, passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Marshfield Medical Center, still hoping new adventure lies ahead.

She always wanted to write her own obit so here it is.

Jeanie was born on April 3, 1951 in Conrath, Wisconsin, the daughter of John and Idell (Polath) Pavlik. She obtained degrees in teaching and drama from the University of Wisconsin, Superior and spent most of her life living in Marshfield. She spent her teaching career in Pittsville, painting murals, sketching portraits, writing and seeking out adventure.

She was a Make-A-Wish granter, was volunteer for Special Olympics, Children's Miracle Network and Big Brothers/Big Sisters.

Jeannie is survived by her sister, Dianne (Rick) Rheingans of Chetek and their children, Ryan (Kendra) O'Rourke; Kevin O'Rourke; Holly (Tim) Waterman and their children, Cora and Colton; and Daniel O'Rourke.

She was predeceased by her parents.

A memorial service will be held 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at the Marshfield Eagles Club where the family will receive relatives and friends from 11:00 am on Saturday until service time. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Come and say goodbye, tell stories or at least smile over pictures that made up her life. She chose cremation to move on in a blaze of glory, leaving only enough of her behind to encourage people to say, "That's probably the least she's ever weighed without dieting." Smile, nod, toast the empty chair, and enjoy your life. She'll be watching.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to Marshfield Area Special Olympics, c/o Randy Follen, 6530 Grant Road, Vesper, WI 54489.

Condolences may be sent online to www.rembsfh.com.
