Kolehouse, Donna J. (Raasch) (20 OCT 1952 - 5 JUN 2018)

Donna J. Kolehouse, 65, of Merrill, passed away on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.

Donna was born on Oct. 20, 1952, in Ladysmith, daughter of Barbara (Miller) Raasch and the late Donovan Raasch. She married John Carroll, they later divorced. She was with Shoghi Kolehouse for 20-plus years and then they married in 2015.

Donna graduated from Ladysmith High School. She then attended UW-LaCrosse and Northcentral Technical College. Donna was known for her tremendous work ethic. Her hard-working career included time at Briggs & Stratton, various transportation companies, Wausau Homes, and most recently United Healthcare in Wausau.

She was a lover of all types of music, with George Strait holding a special place in her heart.
Donna was an avid gardener and loved flowers (particularly purple ones). A lover of animals, she especially enjoyed spending time with her dog, Remington. Donna was an amazing cook and known to have perfected the chocolate chip cookie. She was a friend to many.

Survivors include her husband, Shoghi Kolehouse of Merrill; her mother, Barbara Raasch of Ladysmith; her daughter, Dianne (Michael Smith) Carroll-Smith of Bryant; her son, Joseph (Heather) Carroll of New Berlin; her step-daughter, Jami Ann (James) Allers of Roswell, Ga.; her grandchildren, Siobhan Carroll and Niamh Carroll; her step-grandchildren, Emma Allers and Elliot Allers; her sister, Linda Salem of Ladysmith and her brother, Michael (Julie) Raasch of Lena. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.

Donna was preceded in death by her father, Donovan Raasch; and her brother, Donovan Raasch, Jr.

The family would like to thank the nursing staff at Aspirus Wausau Hospital for their kindness.
A visitation will be held from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on Monday, June 11 at Taylor-Stine Funeral Home in Merrill.

Graveside services will take place at St. Paul’s Cemetery, Town of Scott, Lincoln County immediately following the visitation.
