Satonica, Anna (23 AUG 1889 – 27 OCT 1971)

Elmer Rasmussen, pastor of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, officiated at funeral services conducted from the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home on Sunday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. for Mrs. Anna Satonica. Burial was made at Riverside Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers were five grandsons, J.T. Satonica, Nick Satonica, Daniel Satonica, Wayne Satonica, Rodney Satonica, and Gary Lavin.

Mrs. Satonica, 82, succumbed to a long illness Wednesday, October 27, 1971 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.

The former Anna Kemfelja was born August 23, 1889 in Yugoslavia, and came to this country prior to her marriage. She was married October 12, 1913 in Pittsburg, Pa., to Rudy Satonica, who preceded her in death in 1962.

The couple came to the Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) area in 1944 and farmed north of here for many years.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Gilbert (Dorothy) Millikin, Owen; Mrs. Harry (Christine) Strauss, Withee; Mrs. William (Sarah) Ross, Greenville, Pa.; Nick, Seattle, Washington; Daniel, Berrien Springs, Michigan; Thomas, Silver Spring, Maryland; Samuel and Michael, Satonica, both of route 1, Owen; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Doraica Cerek, in Yugoslavia.
