Holms, Clarence "Chuck" (4 JUN 1898 – 1 NOV 1971)

Military services were conducted for Clarence "Chuck" Holm, 73, at the Grand Army Home for Veterans at Kin on the 3rd of November, 1971 at 1:30 p.m. Fr. Donald Bazinski officiated at the service conducted in Main Chapel Hall, with burial being made in Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, King.

Death came to Mr. Holms on November 1, 1971, 19 days after he had been admitted to the Home, after his transfer from Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire, where he had been a patient since the 25th of June. Prior to that time he had been a resident at the Woodland Hotel in Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) since June 17, 1966. At that time he came here from Hayward, where he had made his home for several years after his retirement from Bell Telephone Company.

He was born June 4, 1898 in Racine, and was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin at Madison. He serve more than two years in the Army during World War I, and then returned to Madison and was a career employee with the Bell Telephone Company.

He is survived by one daughter, Mary Ann Holm (Sister Karen) of Braddock, Pa.

He was one of wit, wisdom and thoughtfulness, and all who knew him enjoyed his company.

Those from Owen attending his funeral at King were Mr. and Mrs. H.J. Callaway and John Juntunen, and Mr. and Mrs. Royal Dickson of Hayward.
