Lightning and a strong wind caused considerable damage in various parts of Taylor county early Sunday morning.

The storm did some expensive bits of damage and also cut some freakish capers.

Several barns were broken apart or blown over on their sides. Quite a few head of cattle were killed by lightning, also several horses.
