Vieth, Barbara Lu (18 DEC 1971)

The Rev. George Becker officiated at a nuptial ceremony uniting Miss Barbara Lu Vieth, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), and Paul Gene Rasmussen, Saturday afternoon December 18, 1971, at 2 o'clock, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Owen.

The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leland Vieth, Madison, was given in marriage by her father to the son of Mr. and Mrs. Christian Rasmussen, Withee (Clark Co.).

Jim Herrick was soloist and Brad Gilbertson guitarist.

The bride was seen in a white satin dress with a veiled headpiece and carried a bouquet of pink carnations and red roses.

In the role of maid of honor was Miss Sandy Smith, Owen, and bridesmaid was Miss Helen Missling, Owen. They donned emerald green velvet floor length gowns and carried red and pink carnation nosegays.

Steve Rasmussen, St. Paul, Minn., was best man, and Mike Nordlof, Owen, groomsman. Jim Vieth, Madison and Joe Rasmussen, Withee, were the ushers.

Christie Biemel, Madison, was the flower girl.

A reception in the church parlor followed the ceremony.

Mrs. Rasmussen attended beautician school in Madison and has been employed by AMPI-North Central, Owen. Her husband was educated in Merrill and is employed at Wick Building Systems Inc., Spencer.

Mr. and Mrs. Rasmussen will be making their home in Owen.
