Westendorf, Ann Marie (22 JUL 1972)

Our Savior's Lutheran Church at Stanley was the setting for the Saturday, July 22, 1972 wedding of Miss Ann Marie Westendorf, 514 Monroe Ave., Hartford, and Larry James Schultze of Stanley.

Miss Westendorf, whose parents are Mr. and Mrs. Russell Westendorf, Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), was given in marriage by her father to the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Schultze, Stanley, during the 1:30 p.m. nuptial service. The Rev. Carl Peters, pastor, officiated.

Mrs. Jane LeFevre, Janesville, was organist for the church service, and Larry LeFevre of Janesville was the soloist.

For her wedding day, the bride had selected a silhouette floor length gown of organza enhanced with chapel train. Her bouffant veil of sheer illusion was secured to a Camelot headpiece, and pink sweetheart roses, Fuji chrysanthemums and white carnations made up her cascade bouquet.

A summertime bouquet of pink tipped white pompons and pink straw flowers was carried by each bridal aide as she appeared in her gown of floor length voile of white and pink floral in empire styled, and a pink veil held to a Camelot cap.

Mrs. Sue Zarada of St. Paul, Minnesota was matron of honor, with Mrs. Beth Kuenne of Milwaukee, Mrs. Carol Luther, Colby, and Miss Linda Schultze, River Falls, as bridesmaids.

Jill Kuenne, Milwaukee, and Michael Schraufnagel, Colby, were in the wedding party as flower girl and ring bearer.

Serving the groom were Gordon Christianson, Eau Claire, best man, and James Olson of Bloomer, Gene Kaczmarczyk, St. Paul, and Gerald Miller, Stanley, groomsmen. Ronald Zarada, St. Paul, and Wally Kuenne, Milwaukee, shared ushering duties.

The Quonset Hall at Thorp was the setting for the reception, dinner an dance for the newlyweds, and their guests. They are now on a honeymoon around the Great Lakes, to Niagara Falls, and later will make their home at the bride's address in Hartford.

Mrs. Schultze, a 1966 graduate of Owen-Withee High School, and a 1970 graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire, teaches 4th grade in the Hartford School System. Her husband graduated in 1967 from Stanley-Body High School, and is working for the city of Stanley.
