Krug, Christine Joanne (9 SEP 1972)

Miss Christine Joanne Krug, daughter of Mrs. Adeline Krug, route 2, Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), and Gary Walter Fritz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elton "Jack" Fritz, route 2, Owen (Clark Co.), were united in marriage at 2 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church at Withee on Saturday, September 9, 1972.

The Rev. Arthur Hellert officiated at the ceremony, for which Amber Nirva was organist, and duet was sang by Margaret Missling and Marilyn Maki.

The bride was given in marriage by her Godfather, William Krug of Racine.

Her dress was of white chiffon, empire waist, Venice lace, through the bodice and down center front of dress to floor,a nd sheer sleeves with lace trimming. The long round train was trimmed with lace. She wore a shoulder length veil with small headpiece of pearls and sequins. Her flowers were of white pompoms with yellow roses and baby's breath.

The maid of honor, Gayle Fredrickson of Owen, and bridesmaid, Colleen Lentz of Downers Grove, Illinois, wore empire gowns of lemon yellow organdy trimmed with white. Each carried white baskets with white pompoms with yellow centers and baby's breath. They wore white lace hats with wide brims, trimmed with yellow ribbon.

The groom's attendants were Bruce …(part of article missing)…groomsman was DuWayne Woik of Owen.

Serving as ushers were Michael Krug of Withee and Lash Fritz of Owen.

A dinner reception was held at St. John's Lutheran Chruch in Withee following the ceremony. Diner prayer was given by Rev. Arthur Hellert.

Later a dance and reception were held at Gary & Joanne's Hall north of Owen.

The bride attended Owen-Withee High School, as did the groom, both being members of the class of 1972.

The groom is engaged in farming, and they will reside on a farm north of Owen.

The newlyweds enjoyed a honeymoon trip to northern Minnesota.
