Rosolowski, Blanche (Bloomer) (4 JUN 1925 - 25 AUG 2018)

Blanche Rosolowski, 93, died on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Care Partners Assisted Living Facility in Ladysmith.

Blanche is survived by three children; Bonnie Tatro, Tom (Nancy) Rosolowski and Annette (Alan) Duchnowski, 12 grandchildren; Jeff, Dawn, Curt, Colleen, Eric, Mark, Matt, Karen, Tina, Sally, Dan, Jim and Georgia Locke, 20 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, two sisters; Pat Roberts of Federal Way, WA and Priscilla Van Heesch of Oak Creek, WI, 3 brothers; Ed (Gwen) Bloomer of Mountain Grove, MO, Dan Bloomer of Bella Vista, AR, Ray (Maryann) Bloomer of Merrill, WI, four sisters-in-law; Jean Bloomer, Fran Bloomer, Lillian Ross and Geraldine Gibbs, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and one aunt; Evelyn Verdegan of Ladysmith.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 31, 2018 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Ladysmith with Fr. Dave Oberts and Deacon Doug Sorenson officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Ladysmith. Blanche's family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time on Friday at the Church.

Blanche Rosolowski, 93, died on Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018 at Care Partners Assisted Living Facility in Ladysmith.

Blanche was born on June 4, 1925 in Tony, the third of 12 children born to Tom and Martha (Guns) Bloomer. She attended the one room Oak Grove grammar school and graduated from Tony High School in 1943. She was united in marriage to Leo Rosolowski on June 24, 1944.

They lived in Kenosha where Leo was employed at Nash Kelvinator, silver-plating airplane parts. He was laid off the day the war ended on Aug. 14, 1945. They then moved to Conrath. Their first home was a converted three-room railroad boxcar.

In 1948, Leo was appointed Postmaster at Conrath. Blanche served as postal clerk from 1950 to 1978. Upon Leo’s retirement in 1974 they realized a lifetime dream of building a house on the banks of Main Creek, northeast of Conrath.

Blanche as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. She enjoyed many hobbies like knitting, crocheting, her flower gardens, quilting and playing cards. For over 60 years the second and fourth Tuesday of each month found her enjoying cards with family and friends who named themselves the “St. Martins Card Club.” She was a Catholic and joined the St. Julianna Community of the order of Secular Servites in 1993.

Blanche is survived by three children, Bonnie Tatro, Tom (Nancy) Rosolowski and Annette (Alan) Duchnowski; 12 grandchildren, Jeff, Dawn, Curt, Colleen, Eric, Mark, Matt, Karen, Tina, Sally, Dan, Jim and Georgia Locke; 20 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Pat Roberts of Federal Way, Wash. and Priscilla Van Heesch of Oak Creek; her brothers, Ed (Gwen) Bloomer of Mountain Grove, Mo., Dan Bloomer of Bella Vista, Ariz. and Ray (Maryann) Bloomer of Merrill; sisters-in-law, Jean Bloomer, Fran Bloomer, Lillian Ross and Geraldine Gibbs; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and her aunt, Evelyn Verdegan of Ladysmith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo; her son-in-law, Merwyn Tatro; her parents; her brothers, Tom, John, Wayne, Clayton and Dave; her brothers-in-law, Ray Rosolowski, Henry Ross, Edward Ross, Joe Ross, Jule Van Heesch, Bill Bellman, Don Roberts, Bob Dankert and Gerald Lueder; her sister, Jeanette Bellman; and her sisters-in-law, Lillian Rosolowski, Velda Bloomer, Dorothy Bloomer, Adeline Dankert, Irene Lueder and Mayme Bloomer.
