Isenberger, Mabel (16 JUN 1896 – 02 DEC 1971)

Mrs. Mabel (Evelyn) Isenberger, age 75, resident of Stanley (Chippewa Co., Wis.), passed away at the Victory Memorial Hospital at Stanley on Thursday (which Thursday?) at 2 a.m.

Shew as born in the town of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), daughter of Harry and Martha Warden. She grew up in the Eidsvold area and taught school for a while. On June 7, 1916 she was united in marriage to Oscar Isenberger at the Warden Home in Eidsvold. After their marriage they moved to Burt, Iowa for a while, then to Galt, Iowa, and then moved to Solberg, Iowa. They came to the Thorp area in 1925 and lived and farmed in the Town of Thorp, and then went to Stanley in 1968. Shew as a member of the Faith Evangelical Free Church of Stanley.

She is survived by her husband, Oscar of Stanley; two sons, Warden of Tacoma, Washington, and Harold of Stanley; three daughters, Mrs. Charles (Eloraine) Heagle of Buffalo, Minnesota, and Mrs. Harvey (Betty) Kvale of Tacoma, Washington; 22 grandchildren; two brothers, , Howard Warden of Ingamar, Pennsylvania, and Guy Warden of Owen; and four sisters, Mrs. Marjorie Holman of Milwaukee, Mrs. Milton (Stella) Patrick of Withee, Mrs. Bert (Olive) Miller of Withee, Mrs. Lyle (Theresia) Stair of Owen. She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Faith Evangelical Free Church, with Pastor Dwight F. Cook officiating. Burial will be made in Oakland Cemetery, Stanley.
