Van De Voort, Anne (Rafko) (13 OCT 1921 - 6 OCT 2018)

Anne Van De Voort, died October 6, 2018 at home in Greenfield WI, under the care of Heartland Hospice.

Born October 13, 1921 in Kennan, WI, she is the daughter of John and Sena (Palamar) Rafko. Ann attended Phillips High School, and married Peter Van De Voort, June 28th, 1941 at St. Michaels Church, Kennan, WI.

She had worked as a switch board operator, waitress, shoe store sales, owned and operated a dairy farm with her husband Peter, as well as janitorial and cook for the central school district for 30+ years. In her free time she enjoyed cooking, gardening, watching local and national sports, watching birds and wild animals and spending time with her family.

She is survived by 5 children, Barbara (Dave) Strahler Reedsburg WI, Garry, King WI, Brian (Georgia), Ladysmith WI, Dale, Catawba WI, Marsha (Jon) Lebese, Greenfield WI, 3 Daughter in laws, Marilyn, Darlene and Rebeckah, 20 grandchildren, and 30 great grandchildren,8 great great grandchildren, 6 in home caregivers Bobbie Jo Moran, Courtney, Angela, Theresa, MaryAnn, Heidi.

Preceded in death by her parents her husband Peter May 25, 1985 son Gregory. Brothers Mike, John, Paul and infant Nick Rafko and sisters Mary and Alice Wanish.

Funeral services will be held at 10:45 A.M. on Saturday, October 13, at Saint Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Catawba with Father Inna Pothireddy celebrating the Funeral Mass.

Interment will be in the Kennan Cemetery in Kennan. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9:30 A.M. until the time of services.
