Miss Glenda Lindgren of Kingsford, Michigan and Herbert Carlson of Abbotsford, Clark Co., Wisconsin were married at an 11 a.m. ceremony August 9, 1969 at Iron Mountain, Michigan. Parents are Mrs. June Lindgren and the late Walter Lindgren, Kingsford, and Mr. and Mrs. Arvid Carlson, Abbotsford.

The bride's sister, Mrs. Robert Anderson, Chicago, was matron of honor, and the best man was David Carlson, Burlington, a brother of the groom.

The bride was seen in her own designed white street length dress. It was trimmed with white lace around the sleeves and belt. Her corsage was two cymbidium orchids.

The matron of honor wore a pale blue street length dress with an empire waist. Her corsage was made of white roses and blue tipped carnations.

Mrs. Lindgren and Mrs. Carlson, mothers of the couple, and Mrs. John Schwartz, Colby, the groom's grandmother, were present with corsages. The groom's father and the bride's grandfather, Richard Larson of Kingsford, wore boutonnieres.

Following the ceremony, the new couple greeted their immediate families at a 12:30 dinner, followed by an afternoon reception for 70 guests.

A 1965 graduate of Kingsford High School, the bride has been employed as office manager at Eagle Food Company at Kingsford. The groom graduate in 1965 from Abbotsford High School and received a Bachelor's degree from Stout State University, Menomonie, in 1969. He will be teaching auto mechanics at Campbellsport High School, where they will be making their home.

Guests for the occasion came from Chicago and Evanston, Illinois, Abbotsford, Burlington, Sobieski, Menomonie, Colby, and the surrounding areas of Kingsford and from Iron Mountain, Michigan.
