Hargraves, Dorothy (18 NOV 1917 – 05 NOV 2018)

Colby – Dorothy Hargraves, age 100, of Colby, passed away on Monday, November 05, 2018 at The Colonial Center in Colby.

In accordance with Dorothy's wishes, a private committal service will be held in Abbotsford Public Cemetery at a later time.

Dorothy was born on November 18, 1917 in Park Falls, Wisconsin, the daughter of Elmer and Nina (Foust) Armstrong. She attended Laona and Blackwell Elementary Schools and graduated from Blackwell High School. Dorothy worked as a Nursing Aide at The Colonial Center in Colby for 12 years.

She enjoyed fishing, gardening, and tending to her flower garden.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter-in-law Maryann Piller of Marshfield; her step-son, Randy (Joann) Hargraves of Wausau; her step-daughters, Patty (Jack) Kemps of Wausau and Josephine Hargraves of Greenwood; and her two sisters, Joyce and Hazel both from Missouri; along with other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Nina; her first husband, Oscar Denzine; her second husband, Wilbert Hargraves; her two sons, Douglas and Ronald; and her step-daughters, Darlene Prelipp and Charlene Ross.

Her arrangements are under the care of Life Tributes Funeral Home-Spencer.
