The 28th Schwantes Family Reunion was held Sunday at Iverson Park, Stevens Point.

A potluck dinner and supper were served to approximately 57 people. Cards were played and the day was spent socially. Prizes were awarded to various family members.

The committee in charge o this years arrangements were the late August Schwantes families, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Manth, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Schwantes, Mr. and Mrs. Verlyn Schwantes, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Schwantes, Mrs. Leota Schwantes, Mrs. Myrtle Greeler, and Mr. and Mrs. Allen Greeler. Next year's committee will be comprised of the Ida Pokat family.

Attending the reunion were the following: Mr. and Mrs. Leter Bock, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Pockat, Marion; Mr. and Mrs. Ulrich Linzmeier and Mrs. Mary Hoffman, Wisconsin Rapids; Mr. and Mrs. Allen Greeler and Julie, Waukesha; Mr. and Mrs. Verlyn Schwantes and Verrill, Michigan; Mr. and Mrs. William Naedler Sr., Granton; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Mayor, Susan, Cheryl, and Mark, Neillsville; Mr. and Mrs. Erland Greeler, Wayne Karen, Beverly, and Brian, Neillsville; Mr. and Mrs. Roger Tyler, David and Judy, Granton; Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Schmidt, Stratford; Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Greeler, Neillsville; Mrs. Marilyn Viegut, Athens; Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Schwantes, Mrs. Leota Schwantes, and Tammy Schwantes, all of Spencer; Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Hopfensperger, Ruth Ann, Joe, and Roy, Junction City; Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Hopfensperger, Necedah; Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Schwantes, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Manthe, and Mrs. Myrtle Greeler, all of Marshfield.
