Velleux, Theresa J. (Wojczynski) (14 MAR 1928 - 1 DEC 2018)

Theresa J. Velleux, age 90, formerly of Winter, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018 at Ladysmith Care and Rehab in Ladysmith.

Theresa was born on March 14, 1928 in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of Max and Sally (Surman) Wojczynski. She was united in marriage to Alfred Velleux on Aug. 24, 1946 in Chicago. She was a dedicated homemaker and a loving mother. She enjoyed gardening and was an avid bowler.

She is survived by her children, Michael (Colleen) Velleux of Wausau, Susan (Larry) Johnson of Hayward, Walter (Debbie) Velleux of Tomahawk, William (Mary Beth) Velleux of Winter, Kathryn Velleux of St. Louis, Mo. and David (Joan) Velleux of Couderay; twenty-one grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and many dear friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alfred; her son, Stephen Velleux; her daughter, Mary Ellen Brown and her grandson, Ryan Velleux.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 6, at Hayward Funeral Home, 15571W County Highway B, in Hayward, where visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service.

Interment will be held in the spring in St. Peters Cemetery in Winter.
