Lien, Carla (Sturner) (16 NOV 1892 – 17 FEB 1973)

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 20, 1973, from St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Curtiss, for Carla Sturner Lien, 80, of Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.), who died at 5:15 p.m. Saturday, February 17, 1973 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield, wehre she had been admitted the previous day. The Rev. Roger Tellock, pastor, officiated at the final rites, and burial was made in the Norwegian Lutheran Cemetery in Curtiss. (Buried as Carla Sturner)

Pallbearers were Clarence Geary, Jake Johnson, Eino Walkama, Willard Geary, Neil Green and Ed Krause.

She was born November 16, 1892, in the town of Mayville (Clark Co.), and received her education in the Curtiss schools. She was married in 1923 at Curtiss to Otto Sturner, who died December 24, 1933. Her second marriage was in 1962 at Curtiss to Dr. Andrew Lien of Stanley, who survives her.

She and her husband Otto had operated a general store in Curtiss for many years. Shew as employed in Marshfield, and at the Longs Department store in Stanley until her second marriage. From that time they had been living in Curtiss.

In addition to her husband, survivors include a sister, Eda Ostenson of Curtiss, and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were three brothers and three sisters.
