Konieczny, Karen (16 JUN 1973)

Now making their home on route 3, Medford, are Mr. and Mrs. Lee Paul, who were married Saturday, June 16, 1973 at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Owen.

Karen Konieczny, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Konieczny of route 2, Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), and Lee Paul, son of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Paul of route 3, Medford, repeated vows at the two o'clock in the afternoon ceremony, with the Rev. George Becker performing the ceremony. Vocalist and organist was Gary Waldhart.

The bride chose a wedding town of nylon organza trimmed with flowered appliques at the hemline and around the detachable train. The Venice veil and bodice were outlined with narrow ruffle that went over the shoulder and featured a Camelot sleeve. Her Venice lace Camelot headpiece had a bouffant veil attached. Her flowers were red roses and light pink carnations.

Attending the bride as matron of honor was her sister, Linda Rasmussen. A friend, Barbara Lemke, Virginia Konieczny, a cousin, and Tammy Paul, the groom's sister, served as bridesmaids. They wore identical gowns of lilac organza, Victorian styled with bishop sleeves, empire waistlines and softly gathered skirts. The bodice had a tucked and bib front and back. They carried one long stemmed white rose.

A reception, supper and dance were held at the Quonset Hall in Thorp.

The bride is a graduate of Owen-Withee High School, and has been working at Ken's Bakery in Owen. The groom is a graduate of Medford High School and is employed at the Weathershield Plant in Medford.

Guests came from Owen, Withee, Thorp, Lublin, Stetsonville, Dorchester, Medford, Milwaukee, Greenwood, Menomonee Falls, Marshfield, Abbotsford, Neenah, Weyauwega, Hortonville, New London, Richfield, Appleton, Sturdevant, Kenosha, Oak Creek, Stanley, Wausau, and Beach, North Dakota.
