Amundsen, Joann Leone (14 JUL 1973)

Joann Leone Amundsen, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), was given in marriage by her brother-in-law, Ronald Gehrke, to Alan Louis Burhop during a 7 p.m. ceremony on Saturday, July 14, 1973.

The Rev. James A. Kaestner, Marshfield, performed the ceremony in St. Katherine's Episcopal Church, Owen, while the music was provided by Mrs. Ben Mueller, organist, and Mrs. Robert Prock, soloist.

The bride chose a floor length gown of pink and white chiffon. Her fingertip veil was secured by a large organza flower, and she carried two long stemmed white roses.

Her matron of honor was Mrs. Louis W. Burhop, Owen, mother of the groom, and her brides matron was Mrs. Anton Auberg, Eau Claire. Their floor length dresses were of aqua crepe, while their shoulder length veils were secured by grosgrain bows.

Louis W. Burhop, Owen, served as best man, while Anton B. Auberg groomsman, assisted him in his duties.

Guests were seated by Robert Prock and Ronald Auberg.

The reception and dance which followed were held at the American Legion Hall in Owen.

Mrs. Burhop has been employed at ITT Thorp Corporation, Thorp, as the senior cash control clerk. Her husband is associated with his father in the management of the Oldsmobile garage in Withee.

After a wedding trip to northern Wisconsin, the couple will live at 631 E. Seventh Street, Owen.
