At a 3 o'clock in the afternoon wedding Miss Carol Rose Callaway and Duane Scott Phillips were united in marriage at Holy Rosary Church Saturday, July 21, 1973, with the Rev. George Becker performing the nuptial vows.

The parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. H.J. Callaway of the Woodland Hotel in Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), and the groom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Russell Phillips of Owen.

Music was rendered by Dan Parker, accompanied by Mrs. William Mahoney Jr. at the organ.

The bride's gown was white organza over bridal satin, trimmed with appliques of white lace roses. A sweetheart neckline and long sheer puffed sleeves were featured. Her full length veil of tulle lace was trimmed with white lace roses and she carried a cascade of red and white roses and baby's breath.

The maid of honor was her sister, Renee Callaway, with bridesmaids being Miss Gayla Bonk, Miss Lynn Pabich, and Mrs. Lynn Potocnik, all of Owen.

They were Empire waisted pastel blue gowns trimmed with white lace. Their headpieces were fashioned with a waist length layered blue veil and they carried a long stemmed white rose.

The little miniature bride was Kristine Callaway of Oregon, Wisconsin, and the ring bearer was Jesse Phillips.

Attending the groom as best man was Rick Phillips of Colfax, and groomsmen were Jack Johnson of Elkhorn, Dough Phillips of Chicago, and Gary Potocnik of Owen.

Ushering the guests were Brett Phillips and Kenneth Callaway.

Following the wedding a reception and dance were held at the Woodland Hotel and Gotcha Room.

Both the bride and groom are graduates of the Owen-Withee High School in the class of 1972. The new Mrs. Phillips has been employed by ITT Midwestern at Thorp, and the groom is employed in construction, having recently graduated from the National School of Heavy Equipment at Charlotte, North Carolina.

Their wedding trip took them to the southeastern states, where they plan to make their home.
