Genevieve Graveen (18 Sept 1913 - 6 Feb 2003)

Genevieve Graveen, Abbotsford died Thursday, Feb. 6, 2003.

She was born Sept. 18, 1913, to Leonard and Vina (DuVall) Evans in Westboro.  She married Bernard Graveen on April 7, 1937, in Fifield.

As a girl, Mrs. Graveen helped run the tavern and restaurant that her parents owned in Westboro.  She later moved to Milwaukee where she worked at a hospital.  In 1976, the couple moved to Dorchester.

Mrs. Graveen most recently resided at the Continental Manor Nursing Home, Abbotsford.

She is survived by three children, Barbara Krauss, Colby, Sally (Jim) Jastrzebski, Fairmont, W. Va., and Bill (Lisa) Graveen, Pewaukee; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and four step great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Odau; a brother, Dr. Fred Evans; a son-in-law, Harry Krauss; and one great-grandson, Levi Lewendowski.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, 2003, at St. Louis Catholic Church, Dorchester.  The Rev. James Schaefer will preside.
