Jane Marie Gumz (3 Feb 1944 - 22 Jul 2003)

Jane Marie Gumz, age 59, of Omro, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 22, 2003 in Oshkosh, the result of an automobile accident.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, July 26, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Omro. Burial was in Lakeview Memorial Park, Oshkosh.

She was born on Feb. 3, 1944 in Dorchester, the daughter of Leo and Mildred (Boxrucker) Beisner. She graduated from Dorchester High School.

She married Terry Koch in 1964 in Oshkosh and he preceded her in death in 1967. She married Ted Gumz in 1968 in Oshkosh and they have made their home in Omro their entire married lifetime. Jane was a stay-at-home mom who loved her husband, children and grandchildren. She enjoyed spending many hours with her grandkids and also enjoyed her hobbies of gardening, bowling, dancing, softball and just staying in touch with her extended family and friends.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, where she had taught catechism and did a lot of volunteer work.

She is survived by her husband Ted Gumz of Omro; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Todd Koch and Tom and Sheila Gumz all of Omro; two daughters, Joy Gumz of Winneconne and Jill Gumz of Omro; six grandchildren, Melissa, Joshua and Christopher Koch, Cori, Mackenzie and Taylor Gumz; her mother Mildred Beisner of Colby; one brother and sister-in-law, Ron and Gail Beisner of Colby; five sisters and brothers-in-law, Judy and Bill Dunnow of Owen, Myrna and Jerry Bartlett of Oshkosh, Mary Ellen and Norbert Salszider of Oshkosh, Betty and Rick Plotz of Dale City, VA, and Laurie and Jim Martin of Marshfield. She is further survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Bud and Julie Gumz of Oshkosh, Gerry and Marie Gumz of Oshkosh, John Gumz of Bathe, ME, Laurie and Gib Reichenberger of Oshkosh and Carl and Jan Gumz of Eau Claire.

Along with her father and first husband, she is also preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harold and Lorraine Gumz.
