Voge, Adolph E. (1 DEC 1891 – 17 JUN 1974)

An Abbotsford (Clark Co., Wis.) resident, Adolph E. Voge, 82, died at 4:50 a.m. Monday at the Medford Memorial Home.

Services were held at 3:30 p.m. yesterday (Wednesday, June 19, 1974) at Christ Lutheran Church, Abbotsford, with Rev. Roland M. Golz, pastor of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Dorchester, officiating. Burial was made in the Abbotsford Cemetery.

Mr. Voge was born December 1, 1891 in Lomira, and attended schools in Colby, where he resided until he was married March 11, 1921, in Michigan to the former Grace Frieda Miller, who survives him. The couple's golden wedding anniversary was celebrated in 1971 with an open house at the Abbotsford City Hall.

Following their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Voge live in Park Falls for three eyars, and then moved to a farm west of Abbotsford. In 1958, they retired from farming and moved to Abbotsford..

Mr. Voge served in the United States Army for two years during World War I, including a tour of duty overseas, and was a member of the Abbotsford Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was also a member of Christ Lutheran Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Vincent (Irene) Frane, Owen, and Mrs. Robert (Marion) Wibben, Colby; two sons, Edward, Owen, and Donald, Abbotsford; three sisters, Mrs. Alma Kobs, Miss Olga voge, and Mrs. Ida Beigansk, all of Colby; 18 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.

A brother preceded him in death.
