Schultz, Mr./Mrs. (Silver – 13 JAN 1970)

Mr. and Mrs. Art Schultz observed their 25th wedding anniversary Tuesday, January 13, 1970 and celebrated Saturday evening at the Wayside Inn, where friends and relatives gathered for the festive occasion.

A mock wedding was performed. The ceremonies began with processional music by Marvin and Dennis Augustine.

The bride, Bruce Castner, was seen in a two piece blue suit with lavender hat and white feathers, and carried a mixed bouquet of flowers.

The father of the bride, Charles Zassenhaus, dressed in bib overalls and blue shirt, and festooned with six-shooters, gave his daughter of to the bridegroom, Ilona Castner, who wore a smoky blue gray suit, engineer cap and a corsage of snowballs and icicles for the event.

The bridesmaid, Jay Block, wore a blight blue mini-dress with a wide brimmed white hat decorated with blue ribbons, and carried a pillow adorned with a miniature horse drawn sleigh.

The groom rode the horse and the bride rose in the sleight. The miniature caricature of the bride and groom was later presented to the honored couple.

The best man, Cindy Strieter, wore black slacks, a plaid sport jacket and an engineer cap. The minister, Mrs. Ben Krueger, dressed in a black beard, stovepipe hat, black pants and light gray jacket, proceeded with the ceremony unto completion.

Mrs. Schultz was present with a pink and white pompon corsage, and her mother, Mrs. Amanda Augustine, with a white carnation corsage decorated with pink ribbons.

Irma Augustine, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Augustine, was married on her birthday anniversary, January 13, 1945, to Arthur Schultz, son of Mr. and Mr.s Ernest F. Schultz.

The wedding was performed by Rev. and M.C. Goetsch at St. Paul's Lutheran Parsonage, North Green Grove (Clark Co., Wis.). The attendants were Ervin Schultz, Unity, and Mr.s Harvey (June Keoppen) Neuhaus, Sheboygan.

Foollowing their marriage, the couple settle on his parent's farm four miles soutwwhest of Colby, where they have since resided. They are the parents of five children, David, attending the University at Pullman, Washington; Kenneth, a student at Stout State University at Menomonie; Ronald, a senior at the Colby High School; Carol deceased; and Gary, at home.

On Sunday, relatives and friends gathered at the Schultz home. Included among the guests were Marvin, Dennis and Norman Augustine, Mr. and Mrs. Elroy Augustine, Mr. and Mrs. Delmar Augustine, of Curtiss; Mr. and Mrs. Isadore Umlauft, Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. William Zassenahuse and Charles of Colby; Lenore Krueger of Colby; Mr. and Mrs. Harold block and family and Mr. and Mrs. Lester Schaefer of Colby, and Donna Bremer, Madison.
