Simnacher, Elaine (29 DEC 1969)

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Simnacher of Pep, Texas, parents of Elaine Simnacher, escorted their daughter when she became the bride of James D. Braff of Madison on December 29, 1969. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Willard Bragg of route 1, Abbotsford, Wisconsin.

The ceremony, performed by the Rev. Clifford Corcoran, took place at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church at Pep.

Providing music for the 3 p.m. ceremony was Mrs. Lydia Green, an aunt of the bride.

The bride wore a floor length A-line gown of white Sorrento. The yoke and long sleeves were overlaid with lace. The yoke length veil was a tulle overlaid with lacee mantilla trimmed with lace rosettes.

Mrs. Harriet Phillips, sister of the bride, of Downey, California, was the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Mary Simnacher of Pep, also a sister of the bride, and Miss Betty Bragg, Madison, a sister of the groom.

They were attired in floor length A-line gowns of rose pink Sorrento. The Yokes and sleeves were overlaid with light pink lace. A rose pink bow accented the hair.

The flower girls was a niece of the bride, Toni Simnacher, of Littlefield, Texas.

Attendants for the groom were Robert Bragg, Milwaukee, a brother of the groom, as best man, and Albert Simnacher, Duncan, Nebraska, and Ralph Simnacher, Littlefield, brothers of the bride, as groomsmen.

Mike Phillips, a brother-in-law of the bride, and Wayne Green, a cousin of the bride, served as ushers.

Immediately following the ceremony, a reception was held at St. Philip Neri Church Hall.

The bride is a 1962 graduate of Texas Technological College at Lubbock, Texas. She has been employed by the Texas public schools and presently is employed by St. Peter's in Beaver Dam.

The groom graduated from the University of Wisconsin and was affiliated with Delta Theta Sigma. He is now a graduate student at the university.

The couple will be making their home at 505 1/2 South Lincoln Ave., Beaver Dam.
