Miss Sharon Cole, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Art Cole, Colby (Clark Co., Wis.), became the bride of Airman 1st Class Michael Spuhler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Laverne Spuhler, Loyal (Clark Co.), at Kadena Air Force Base in Okinawa on Friday, June 12, 1970.

The military wedding was held at 10 a.m. in the Lutheran Church with Chaplain Grosse officiating at the double ring ceremony.

For her wedding, Sharon chose a white lace street length dress designed with an A-line skirt and long sleeves. Her shoulder length veil was attached to a petal headpiece adorned with white daisies and pearls. She carried a cascade bouquet of red and white roses with white satin streamers, to which rosebuds were attached.

Her maid of honor, Mrs. Pamela Bradford, Pensacola, Florida, was seen in a street length dress of green lacee, and she wore a pink and white rose corsage. Best man for the occasion was Jim Bradford, Pensacola, Florida, friend of the groom.

Following the wedding ceremony, a reception as held at the Bradford home. The couple will honeymoon at Okinawa and the New Mrs. Spuhler will remain there with her husband while he is stationed with the Air Force.

Sharon graduated from Colby High School with the class of 1970, and made arrangements to fly to Okinawa on June 2 for her wedding. Her husband, a 1968 graduate of Loyal High School, entered the service in October 1968.
