Tessmer, Elsie F. (16 November 1901-26 Mar 1971)

Services will be held Monday at Alliance Missionary Church for Mrs,
Lawrence (Elsie) Tessmer, 69, of 401 W. 14th ST, who died of a cerebral
hemmorrhage Friday at St. Joseph's Hospital. She had been a patient
there for a week.

The Rev. Stanley Aukema, pastor, and the Rev. James Franklin, will
conduct Monday's service and burial will be in Hillside Cemetery.

Visitations may be made at the Hansen Chapel Sunday and Monday at the
church.

The former Elsie Salzwedel was born November 16, 1901, in Loyal (to
Henry and Helma Salzwedel), and received her education in the Loyal
schools. She was married in 1919 to Ray Brown, who preceded her in
death. Her second marriage to Lawrence Tessmer, who survives her took
place June 3, 1937, in Marshfield.

Mrs. Tessmer had resided in Loyal and Indiana until 1935, when she
came to Marshfield.

She was a member of the Alliance Missionary Church.

Survivors in addition to her husband are a son, Forrest Brown,
Rhinelander; two daughters, Mrs. Jane Knauf and Mrs. Bonnie Uzwack, both
of Marshfield; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother,
Ira Salzwedel, Rhinelander; three sisters, Mrs. James (Ila)
Englebretson, Owen; Mrs. Lawrence (Violet) Mess and Mrs. Walter (Beulah)
Johnson, both of Rhinelander, and her mother, Mrs. Helma Salzwedel,
Rhinelander.

She was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, a sister and a
brother.
