Paul, Linda Gail (9 SEP 1970)

Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Alward are now at home at Houghton, Michigan, following their Canadian honeymoon.

The wedding of Miss Linda Gail Paul, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer Paul, route 1, Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.), and Bruce Gregory Alward, son of Mr. and Mrs. Milton Alward Sr. of Gladwin, Michigan, took place at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Dorchester, on Wednesday, September 9, 1970, with the Rev. F.H. Sprengler officiating.

The bride was presented in marriage by her father for the one o'clock ceremony, during which Mrs. Fay Schwoch played nuptial music.

For her wedding, the bride chose a white empire gown of peau de soie and lace with a chapel train. A beaded net and floral petal headpiece held her three tiered veil. She carried a cascade of yellow roses and white carnations.

Attending them were close friends, Miss Stephanie Carlson of Curtiss and Dennis Polzin of Gladwin.

Her maid of honor was attired in an aqua chiffon formal in empire styling and a matching petite floral headpiece with veil. She carried a bouquet of blue and white carnations.

After the ceremony a reception was held in the church basement, followed by a wedding supper.

The new Mr. and Mrs. Alward called on her grandmother, Mrs. Helena Woempner, who is a resident of the Leahy Nursing Home, Abbotsford, and presented her with a corsage.

Both young people are students at Michigan Tech University at Houghton. Mrs. Alward is affiliated with Sigma Phi Sigma Sorority.
