Held, Kathleen A. (3 OCT 1970)

Peter Fischer, Abbotsford (Clark Co., Wis.), was married to Kathleen A. Held of Zion, Illinois on Saturday, October 3, 1970, in St. Joseph's Church in Lyons, Wisconsin.

The Rev. Harry Peight and Rev. Martin Schoenberg, a cousin of the bride, officiated at the 2 p.m. wedding vows.

Mrs. Gerda Fischer is the groom's mother, and the bride's parents are Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Held of route 4, Burlington, Wisconsin.

The bride's sister, Pam Held, was her maid of honor, and the best man was Buck Colby. Other attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Carl Fischer, brother and sister-in-law of the groom, Diane Kornhoff, Mrs. Ed Heiden, Gregg Polster and Allen Ridderbusch.

The junior bridesmaid was the groom's niece, Donna Fischer, and the bride's nephew, Gary Schatzman, was the ring bearer. Larry Hoffman and Ken Held, the bride's brother, performed the ushering duties.

The bride, given away by her father, wore an empire A-line gown of white luster satin. It featured a stand-up collar and long full sleeves with wide cuffs. Her chapel length train was detachable. Chantilly lace was used throughout the gown and pearl leadings were sued as accents. The cascade bridal bouquet was of white carnations and red tea roses.

The empire gowns of pink chiffon worn by the bridesmaids and the junior bridesmaid were trimmed with white frost embossing the bodice. Long full sleeves and wedding ring collars were featured, and the skirts were burgundy velvet. The bodices were trimmed with white eyelet lace and burgundy ribbon. They carried colonial bouquets of pink carnations and red tea roses.

A reception for 300 guests followed the ceremony at Ye Olde Village Inn in Rochester.

The bride attended Kenosha Technical Institute and received an Associate degree in Court and Conference Reporting. She is employed as a court reporter in the Naval Hospital at Great Lakes, Illinois.

The groom is a third class hospital corpsman in the same hospital.

Following a honeymoon to Nassau on a Bahamas cruise, the couple will live at the Beach Mobile Home Park in Zion, Illinois.
