Koffarnus, Donna Gail (17 OCT 1970)

Given in marriage by her father, William Koffarnus, Donna Gail Koffarnus of Appleton became the bride of Peter Jerome Olk, Menasha, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Colby., with Father Francis P. Rushman officiating.

St. Mary's grad school children's choir sang for the wedding, with Mrs. Alois Gabriel providing the organ music at the 1:30 p.m. ceremony on October 17, 1970.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. William Koffarnus of route 1, Owen (Clark Co.,Wis.), and Mr. and Mrs. Mrs. Jerome Olk of Hortonville.

Miss Paula Anderson of Appleton was maid of honor for her friend. Miss Mary Old, the groom's sister, of Hortonville, and Mrs. Larry (Lois) Schubert of Marshfield, and Charlene Behnke and Marla Buehman of Appleton, friends of the bride, were her bridesmaids.

Matthew Olk of Camp Pendleton, South Caroline, was the best man for his brother. The groomsmen were Jim Ulman of Hortonville, Doug Koffarnus, the bride's brother, of Marshfield, Henry Mompier of Fort Cump, Kentucky, and Mike Olk of Hortonville.

The groom's brothers, Mark and Joseph Olk of Hortonville, ushered the guests into the church.

Carrying a bouquet of yellow roses, an arrangement of fall colored mus, the bride wore a floor length gown of satin completed with a train. Her fingertip veil of illusion was attached to a forward headpiece of sequins, pearls, and a satin bow.

The bride's attendants were attired in floor length gowns featuring empire waistlines. The bodices were off white satin with puffed sleeves and the skirts were moss green chiffon over taffeta. Their veils were held by forward headpieces, also of moss green. They carried small bouquets of fall colored mums with satin ribbons.

Events of the day included a dinner at the Colby Hotel and a reception following at the Abbotsford City Hall.

The bride graduated from Colby High School in 1968 and attended the Eau Claire Accredited School of Cometology. She has been employed by the Regis-Vogue Beauty Salon in Appleton.

A graduate of Hortonville High School in 1966, the groom received training from the Army Signal Center and School in Fort Mammoth, New Jersey, and is employed by the Bell Telephone Company in Appleton.

Mr. and Mrs. Olk are living at 976 Elru Drive in Menasha.
